School Timings Changed in Chhattisgarh Districts
Due to the increasing cold, the Bilaspur and Kabirdham districts in Chhattisgarh have revised their school schedules. These changes are set to remain in effect until January 2026.
Bilaspur School Timings
The following timings apply to all government, non-government, aided, CBSE, and other curriculum-based schools in the Bilaspur district:
Schools Running in Two Shifts:
- First Shift (Monday to Friday): 8:00 AM to 11:45 AM
- First Shift (Saturday): 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM
- Second Shift (Monday to Friday): 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM
- Second Shift (Saturday): 8:00 AM to 11:45 AM
Schools Running in a Single Shift:
- Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM to 11:45 AM
Kabirdham School Timings
The following timings apply to all government, private, aided, and madrasa schools in the Kabirdham district:
Schools Running in Two Shifts:
- Junior Schools: 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM
- Senior Schools: 12:15 PM to 4:30 PM
Schools Running in a Single Shift:
- Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM
These revised timings will be in effect until January 31, 2026.
Winter Vacations Announced in Jammu & Kashmir and Rajasthan
The administrations of Jammu & Kashmir and Rajasthan have officially announced winter vacations for schools.
Jammu & Kashmir Winter Vacation Schedule
Schools in the Kashmir Valley and winter zones of the Jammu region will observe the following schedule:
- Pre-primary Classes: From November 26
- Classes 1 to 8: From December 1
- Senior Classes: Academic activities end on December 11
Schools are scheduled to reopen between February 22 and March 1 of the following year.
Rajasthan Winter Vacation Schedule
In Rajasthan, the winter vacation will be from December 25, 2025, to January 5, 2026. This applies to all government and private schools, as per the Shivira Calendar 2025–26.
Expected Winter Vacation Announcements in Other States
States like Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh are also expected to announce their winter vacations soon. Typically, schools in these states close in the last week of December or the beginning of January.

In Delhi, the winter vacation will be from January 1 to January 15, 2026.
